Hello, I have just launched a brand new site. I have placed a couple of Adsense ads on the right column, and in the articles body as well. I was hoping some of you could have a look and let me know what you think. The site is not 100% ready but you'll get an idea how it will look. I think it looks great. You might try to put a couple ad blocks in the content as well. If it is content, it works the best.
@ james Yes, there are two ad blocks placed in the content - one just after the article intro, and another at the end of the article. @ iskandar Sure i'll report the CTR after a month or so. Moreover, most of the articles are not online yet. After a month, the site will contain about 700-800 unique pages.
It looks neat ... good job. I was wondering if the hover effect on the "normal" links is something a reader will notice as a guide to not follow an adsense link ?? (Anyone ever tested that ??) -Noud
The website looks incredibly bland and the ads are very invasive and annoying (for example, how they appear at the very top of each article and are left-aligned). Also, there is no heading to tell me what the site is called or what its purpose is. Needs a lot of work.
Its clean, but where is your website header? I don't know what your website is called - which doesn't help you brand your site (especially if you want repeat customers coming back or word of mouth traffic). Could potentially do with a couple of images, perhaps one per post maximum. You don't want to overcrowd the content.
