Hey. I posted here a while ago asking for a review of my site. Since then I've redesigned the site completely, and I'd like to know what you all think. I'm not going to explain what it's about - you should be able to see that when you look at it, and if you can't then I've done something wrong. Here's the site: http://www.dreamwarez.co.uk. I appreciate your input! Thanks. -Andy
It looks good Andy. If I could make one criticism: It would be the glowing blue color of your background. I would tone it down, as it kind of burns the eyes a little bit.
I only use that for 3 words of my portfolio page. I could change it to Times New Roman though. Thanks for your responses. When you say the glowing background, do you mean the gradient border around where the text is?
I have to admit the colour scheme does not work very well not sure if reversing the light/dark blue colour could work better its just s thought
What is it about the colour scheme that doesn't work well? I tried to stick to using only 3 or four colours (each shade counting as one colour). The text seems easy enough to read and what not. Can you elaborate? Thanks
Ok, I took your comments into account and changed the border of the content - instead of using a gradient I used a darker blue colour.
The top header still seems to be too flashy. The name doesn't get any attention. Looks amateurish as another reviewer said. Try web 2.0 schemes. Check sites which use web 2.0 and then understand it.
I think the navigation menu is looks amateurish. you have to explore what is the current trend in web design.
