The site is in very early beta. There is still a lot of work to do and it doesn't even have a name yet, but I'd like some feedback not only on the site, but on the concept in general. Thanks! http://test.axelis.com
The idea of the website is excelent, I admit this is the forst time I see somethiong like this. But I had few problems navigating thru the Clusters, also how do you add the ads? Over all it looks great Good Luck
Very nice site, but does it work with firefox? I drilled down to the box level and never could get the site to do anything.
Yes, actually it was developed in firefox and is tested extensively in IE, Safari, Chrome and Opera. When you say you got down to box level, what do you mean, like city or grid level? Update: I went back and looked and it turns out I neglected to upload a graphics file that helps show how to navigate through there.
I have mixed feelings about the site, you should try to figure out what type of site you would like it to be.
I'm not sure how to react to this. I have to assume you didn't go through the site and really look at it.
Not sure you get what? Guys, this is new territory as far as I can tell. There is enough information on every level of navigation to get you to the next level in. This isn't complicated. If you're not at the end, keep going!
It takes me too much time to know what your site is . Are there any more text to explain how to use it . Save you visitor's time and they will be repeated visitors .
Even if you have to read and follow the navigation instructions under the Help Menu it only takes about 20 seconds to navigate to an available location and another 20 seconds to sign up. Once you're there, if you don't know what it is you probably never will.
Ok, I'm getting a lot of stuff back indicating that people don't understand what the idea of the site is. It's very simple really, and I had thought that once people go through the navigation they'd understand. I suspect what is happening is people are not getting all the way through the navigation because they expect to know what it is within a click or two. The first time you look at the site it's just not going to happen that way. You have to drill down through the levels. Once you get there, you'll understand and everything will make sense. I know can be problematic, but once you get through it you'll understand the reason for it, which is a pretty good one. Top level is "nebula." The nebula consists of nine clusters. Click on a cluster and you go to that cluster. Each cluster has ten planets numbered 00 through 09. Click on a one to go to that planet. Each planet has six cities labeled "A" through "F." Click on a city and you go to the city view which consists of a 7 by 7 block grid. You'll notice two things: First, each block is outlined in grey. Those grey "lines" are actually a series of locations. If a location is occupied it would be red. You'll also notice that at all the intersections of the grid there is a small square. Mouse over it and it turns red. Click it and you're zoomed in to the four blocks around that intersection. Once you're zoomed in to what I call "grid" view you can see that each of the locations are now separated so you see them as individual areas. An occupied location is red, available is grey. Click on an available location and it takes you to that page or section of wall, as it were. You'll find a signup form there. Use it. Then log in and check out what the thing does. Logging in will always take you straight to your wall. What this is is similar to social networking, but it's not really a network. It's more like a neighborhood. Instead of building a virtual network, this will allow you to build a virtual community in the true sense of the word.
