Hi, Just finished my latest project. It's mainly a marketing experiment, testing viral marketing. Here's the URL: www.collectionofsouls.com Here's my "soul ID" - http://www.collectionofsouls.com/free.php?id=e3afed0047b08059d0fada10f400c1e5 Any feedback welcome, Thanks, Lee.
Is there a reason why you're so low-key about the "win $100" part? At first glance I thought this was some kind of vanity website.
Hmmm quite a few people have questioned the concept.. The idea behind it is that it's a marketing experiment. It's going to test the capabilities of viral marketing. So to break it down, I start off with an account -> I advertise in my sig and other places -> People click it and have their "soul" taken (Which is just a gimmick) -> (hopefully) They're intrigued and sign up -> Process repeated for every other person. So basically it will expand rapidly, and my site will gain visitors. I also give incentive by offering $100 every month to the person with the most souls stolen. Is it clearer now? I will not sell the emails I get to spammers, as some of you have thought.
I dont think it will take you far, I visited your site and my first impression "was I'm in a funeral parlour for hanged criminals"
Hmm I haven't thought about that angielski. It's not the main purpose, the main objective is to report the results in my marketing blog, and get some cash too
Interesting approach, however, the width of the pages is different, so the header "moves" when you switch between pages...
Sell2005 - I don't understand how you can find the concept hard to understand. It's pretty well given: You get as many people to click your ID that you get via email after signing up, and if you have the most clicks on your ID, you get $100 for that month. Kassi - Yeah I noticed that yesterday, I'm going to look into that Trichnosis - Thanks for your advice. Lee.
I like the look of the site first of all, I guess a lot of thought went into it. I don't mind the fact that the site is very dark. I like the fact that you are forcing users to give you hteir email address first, good technique. Good luck!
