    Hi,

Ive been DP reader for a while now but this is my first post.

I'd like some experianced webmasters to review my 1st site: www.cheese-burger.net (its about cheeseburgers!).

I dont know why I chose cheeseburgers as my topic, maybe a moment of madness. The term 'cheeseburger' or 'cheeseburger recipe' gets searched thousands of times a month and I saw a space in googles top 10 search results with my name on it.

Take a look and any feedback you have is welcome. Anythinng related to adsense or general web design.

Also on the best way to get it crawled by search engines, I was hoping to add a link to wikipedia and thats all.

    Thanks in advance...

I would change the background of your page so it isn't quite so tacky... Wow that site makes me hungry :(. Your stories and links links don't work. Your ads on

    http://www.cheese-burger.net/toppings/

    Don't blend in well.

Overall I think you need a lot more original content. Good luck.

giraph - you're right about the background but i guessed that people who are searching for 'cheeseburger' on google would appreciate fries on the side!

in terms of more content i'm aiming to list at least 50 recipes mainly from offline sources. I pretty sure the site will make it to the top10 search results for cheeseburger and i'm hoping for just $1 a day.

kevin & billabong - we love blending!

    thanks for your input guys.

Slick blending for the 2nd & 3rd ads on the front page...almost got me LOL! and I havn't clicked an ad in a couple years...

Edit- If you applied more of the frontpage type ads to your other pages, and some more content, you'll be doing fine I'm sure~

I'll try and introduce the same blending style thats on my homepage onto some other pages. I cant ingnore all of the positive feedback i'm getting from DP.

I should have mentioned that the site isnt fully complete so the sitemap, links and stories links dont work yet.

Thanks and keep the comment comming.

doesnt he need to place a border between the picture above the ads and the ads itself?

In the right menu, right above the Ads by google .. you have written "Google Burger!" ... is this allowed or its atracting attention to the ad? Anyone knows?

    Nice blending!

Just looking at your site makes me hungry :)

Would get the "Google Burger" label approved by Google if you want to keep it.

By the way, would be interested to know how well you get on with the Amazon affiliate program. Never had much luck with them.

alsuran & detonate - i think i'll remove the 'google burger' above the link unit and replace it with just a colored bar.

srj - ive used plain old html from scratch to build the site. ive slowly got a grasp of html and now style sheets.

my aim is to make 10 very niche sites that each earn $1-$2 a day. anybody got any motivation sucess stories for me?

    thanks once again

    looks good

one suggestion for the future - if you find a word that gets searched for lots of times but it looks possible to do well with pretty easily, I would keep that word to yourself, or at least not say that is why you've done the site

You might find that this time next week there are 20 more cheeseburger sites to contend with.

I'd keep the background, tacky is good.
