Please review my new logo

I am in need of some feedback on my new logo i just placed on my site

Nice it looks very different to other logos, i must say different work make build your mind
sharp than others.

 

nice design. great color chooser for the site. overall is great, you just need to optimize the SEO.

 

i don't see logo, it's a header. I like the little "favicon".

 

I think it looks nice. It's clean and not distracting.

 

I have to disagree somewhat. I do like the logo but my eye was drawn to the harnesses first thing. Maybe lighten the harness and darken the dog out lines. I had to really look to see what they were. Kept going back to the harness trying to figure out what they were. If I could have figured out right away what they were I would have moved on faster to the rest of the site.

 

yes i do agree with you on this XtremePM i have made it where the dogs are white and this helps with the visbilty please tell me what you think now thanks

 

I like the clean look of it, but it only portrays the state. When I look at it, I'm thinking tours by dogsled, not classified ads. If there is anyway to make it look more like what you are selling, rather than where it is located, I think you'll do better.

Not related to the header, but you also might want to throw some ads up on Craigslist or in the newspaper, promoting your free classified service. The site is impressive, but when you come to the site and there aren't any ads, it doesn't look inviting. You might even want to contact some businesses in the areas you cover to ask if you can create classifieds for them for free, listing vehicles, products, or whatever in order to fill the site at first.

Overall, a great concept if you can monetize it.

 

The dogs in the banner should have some color , right now it's just to much white . Either that or play whit the contour and shadows . Also bflbob made some excellent points .

 

Ok thanks for your feedback i am in the process of getting ads posted as you have suggested as for the Header image i will see how it works for a while and if i recive any negittive feedback i will change it.

I am currently in the process of a new logo it should be up within a day or so I would like the logo to be alaska like but I don't won't to put the state outline I am thinking a wolf a polor bear or a eagle if any one has any ideas on a Alaska theme Logo please share it with me thanks

That's what I was thinking. Other than the whiteness, it looks great!

 

thanks for all your feedback i am thinking of adding some color to it but i think it will clash to much with the lettering. I mean draw your eye to the dogs and not the title

 

Seems that the logo doesn't represent the directory niche directly.

 

The idea is OK, the realisation is not good.
Plus you have this text:
"Here at Ak Listings" but the logo is Ak Listing's what is this ' ?

With this logo idea you can ask here on DP for a better design.
