Please review my new forum

Hi,

I have a brand new free advertising forum. Please could you comment on things like design, adsense placement, catergories & anything else you think I need to know. Please be as honest as you can be

 

There is too much info at the top of the page it makes things look disorganized.
You should replace the phpbb logo with your logo. The banners at the bottom of
the page does not look good, you need to improve the overall presentation of
the forum.

I agree about the header. It looks very disorganized and cluttered. I can't even be bothered to read all that text. The header of a site should never be that big. The elements that appear on the screen before you scroll are very important. If you have to scroll to get to any of the forum content, it will quickly annoy a lot of users.

You need to be more consistent with your design and color scheme. Overall the forum is a bit of an eye sore. Sorry.

I reviewed your new theme, its fine, but adsense block at the bottom of the with yellow background is attractive but not looking fine. So, replace it with any other ad unit.

I agree its very 'busy' and wide, you don't realize you're on a forum until you scroll down.
The colours are a bit too vivid for my taste, but its very alive, and I like the theme. Will return as I need some free advertising for my blog sites, thanks.

 

The design of the banner like menu at the top looks little unprofessional. Also try to change the default skin ,if possible.1/10

 

Try to change theam. I think you also have too more links on the top of forum. Make more categories

Forum threads are too down. It could be better if you bring them a bit up.

Header is unimpressive. Also, it seems your idea could've done well with a blog format instead of a forum.

I have tried to re-arrange the blocks, but nothing seems to work & I like having the links, pics & welcome message there. They only appear on the index page - so I'm hoping they wont cause too much of a distraction.

One final Update! Thanks for all of your advice.

I have made a lot of changes to the forum. I've gotten rid of a lot (not all, lol!) of the clutter, so my pages are loading a lot faster.
