F1 Planet went live 2 weeks ago. Please review my site for SEO, user-friendliness, and aesthetics. It is a site i have designed my self. I wish to make it unique in the sense it is a site ran by Formula 1 fans writing articles. The idea is to get a team of writers on board. Any input would be appreciated. Many thanks f1planet.co.uk
zanet, your site looks really good. I like the aesthetics a lot and it's also very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Your SEO is OK. I'd suggest maybe using both F1 and Formula 1 in your title tag. I didn't see either a description meta tag or a keyword meta tag in your code, so you might want to consider adding those. If you decide to add either of those, once again I'd recommend using both F1 and Formula 1 in the tags. One really picky small thing... the page breaks seem to be messed up in your post "Hamilton Wins Spa." You've definitely got the big pieces in place and it's a very good looking site. Good luck!
Pretty cool stuff. My girlfriends dad owns a shop where they work on dragsters and other race cars. I think the site looks great. The featured images on the homepage really draw me in. They capture a lot of interest. How do you plan to monetize the site for money?
Thanks so far for the comments @Wildchild - sorted the paragraphs out - well spotted @Swiftly - i have some adsense on there but at the moment its more about getting traffic and some article writers
It looks good, I like the colors. Were do you get the images from? just make sure you have the rights to use them or else you bump into trouble id you ever become popular.
It's really good. My boyfriend's company wrote the first 12 races of formula1blog. co.uk but it's a little harder on the eyes (needs a softer white text or dark grey background IMHO) but yours is very nice. I would say the black could be a little lighter to stop eye-strain. Are you charging your article writers? The owner of the blog ^ preferred to write the rest of the season himself as it is his hobby, but I'm sure my bf would be interested. He charges $10 per 500 words (for car related articles).
