My first site was a blogger blog and my next site is a directory. Now I realize how much more work a site that does not do almost everything for you is. Please tell me what you think of my new directory. Already I know of several things that can be improved. Most importantly, I would like to know what categories should be added. Thank you for looking Best General directory by LennyP
Good site, consistent colors. Top space is a little empty. Also, you might want to remove the PHPSESSID from your url to make it more search engines friendly.
PHPSESSID actually goes away if you turn on Javascript, at least they are gone for me now. But even so yeah, remove them. Another suggestion, clean up the header, remove the "by LennyP" bit, there is no reason why you should have it in the logo. Then drop the drop shadow from the logo text and align it against that ribbon thingy.
I dont see phpsessid in the url? What are you referring to? *edit* I see it now in the details pages. Anywhere else? How would I change that?
Look almost perfect! The question: why the logo text is places so far from the medal silhouette icon. I think that you could try to experiment with that section trying the following: [Medal] Best General _______Directory _______By LennyP or [Medal] Best General Directory _______By LennyP
I like it, especially the layout. It presents everything to the user at 1 full page with no scrolling. You could use a better logo
I think the directory looks nice, maybe you could round off the corners on the main table? Nice work.
Nice free for everyone template you've used there... perhaps consider making a more unique and memorable logo to make your directory stand out from all the other people using that phpLD template. Best of luck.
Overall a very nice design, but if you could do a different logo with better image quality it will look much better. Your current logo has little fringes around it. Bye
Looks nice Lenny, I don't see much that makes it different from any other general directory though? IT could use some good clever copywriting.... maybe under the header and above the footer.
