The blue on blue is a bit hard on the eyes. It loaded a bit slowly for me also, although not too terrible.

You need to check how it looks with firefox... the lighter blue background doesnt show up for me in firefox.
Loading speed seems okay to me.

The lighter blue showed up for me on Firefox.. it just wasn't very pleasant to look at over the dark blue.

Problem solved, turned out it was a missing # - apparently IE figured it out anyway

    Is this any better? http://www.freebunch.com/new/index2.htm

    Thanks

Better. The problem is probably more with my eyes than the actual site. When I'm in front of a screen working all day light text on a bright dark background like that is physically painful to look at. Definitely better than the blue on blue though. :)

The same as everyone else, the blue on blue is hard to read. You need to put in more contrast between a dark background and lighter text, or vice versa.

The site also loads quite slowly, considering the size and extent of the images. Each of those navigation images should be no more than 4KB at the outside, considering they are black and white and tiny, but your home one is 23KB. You need to optimise your images.

    1) don't have your text color be the same as your link color

    2) The site loaded quick for me, but the coloring is far too harsh.

    3) The website copy needs improving.

    Good luck!

I can't help it. I have an Eagle-eye for copy and it's the first thing I notice.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that you didn't see any new press releases for the site yet. ;)

lol what? I don't normally nag people to send them... I just nag them to do it "right" when they express an interest. ;)

    Thanks guys,

link and text colors are different now.

Image sizes have been dramatically decreased thanks to xat.com image optimiser.

Changed the colors to be lighter. Do you guys still think they are too "harsh"?

The images are still stalling a little bit even over a high speed connection, but a bit better than before. The blue is still blinding when it first comes up, but still more readable than the original version.

you need to use a good css template, also ensure a proper color combination and good menu effects which is available within css itself.
