    Also suggest ways and means to optimize the same.

    Its a free template and you should try to customize it a bit from your end.. else your website will look similar to hundreds of other websites.. Also adding a favicon is recommended as it will make your website look more professional.

    The theme is fine but the header is bit plain and simple.It is an good idea of adding email subscription form that leads in generating the traffic.

    To get sponsors don't just leave all ad places empty - put something even if it's for free to get it going.
