looks ok dont think the adsense is over the top

 

What you can do for the ad unit on the bottom is use a dark background color and white font colors in your unit, it'll fit in with the layout more.. like it's part of the design.

yes one adsense block will be enough.. it will also improve your cpc.

you can have some different background other then being plain.

 

header and colours look good but i think you need a logo.

 

Adsense overdose on all pages, ugly stats counter (misaligned), should make more use of H1, H2 etc and bold text - for user presentation and of course SEO.
