    A few small things I've noticed is there needs to be some padding on the inside Polls and Kathleen Alford and there is no heading on the Calendar.

    I'm using XP - Firefox 3.01

    Hi,

    I think that alone the fact your Mom decided to share her experience with a health condition is the most driven factor here. Layouts and extra gadgets are not necessary. I feel the intention here is to help others with the same condition and the "journal" feeling should be well seen by google spiders bringing up the blog on searches. Thumbs up and don't worry too much about layout. Worry about the content and willingness to help others !

    I, I think the design applies very well to the content, has an easy navigation for visitors.
    In header could do itself a banner with a logo, only to the site.
