Hi, guys I was wanting feedback on my new site - Yeah, Maybe Not It's obviously inspired by Mixx, but I plan to change the layout quite a bit, so it's not such a dead ringer. I want the functionality of Mixx, but with a completely different layout. It was just easier and cheaper to have it built looking like mixx, initially. What subtle changes should I make first to differentiate? I have an idea, but I want outside feedback. I don't want to fully launch without at least some changes made. Also, please leave comments here about the site itself(functionality,etc.). Please note: Althought the code is very similar. This was built from scratch. No code was lifted/ripped from Mixx. It has it's own custom/unique admin panel that allows me to control every aspect of it. Thanks
The site is well designed the template, the page layout, the color scheme, and the images look good, the site looks professional.
This site comes off very professional. The only thing I currently see that could potentially be seen as a "turn off" would be the ads. Would it be possible for you to move them to somewhere on the page less noticeable ?
I could move the ads, but I figured since they're the only ones on the site, they'd be ok. Where would you suggest? Thanks
Hmmm....I thought I'd get more feedback than this. Any other suggestions? Good and Bad feedback welcome. Thanks
Sure, I would definitely say pushing the ads to the bottom is very ideal. My professional, as well as personal opinion would be to never, ever put your ads on the right or left side of a web page. It just gives the website a cheap feeling- and it's clearly not a cheap website. Other than that, it's looking great.
Looks professional but too much blue in the text. You could use another font (type, style, size) to delimit the subtitles, the menu titles. Other than that it's really nice.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Keep it coming. I'll be making some changes here in the next couple of weeks and using your feedback. Thanks
