Can i be doing something better? i have each section with it's own set of keywords specific to the content presented, but not gaining any advances in popularity or traffic. Any advice here would be appreciated.

You need an <h1> tag that is labeled with the main kw for the page. I’m not entirely sure what the keyword is for the home page. I’m thinking you are targeting “wallpaper”. Did you do any kw research? “desktop background” is a better keyword for your site that has less competition and a higher search volume than “desktop wallpaper” You also need to optimize your title, description and keywords tags. In terms of content on the page, read like a search engine does…look at the page source. Here you can see what content comes first on the page. Have your main keywords near the top and sprinkled throughout. Make sure the content flows and is natural. Don’t stuff the keywords and use variations and related terms. On a positive note I like how you have used good anchor text on internal links. I hope that helps. Best of luck!
