Please Review my Hotel Booking Website

Annoyingly and uselessly small PX metric fonts, fixed with layout that's pretty much useless everywhere (too big for my netbook or tablet, too small for my desktop, doesn't fit my desktop once I zoom in to where the PX metric fonts are legible), slow loading bloated banner rotating nonsense, illegible color contrasts like grey-on-grey or white-on-orange, painfully slow page load due to having WAY too many separate files and weighing in at a megabyte and a half AFTER compression... endless pointless scripting for nothing, broken layout... and that's without even looking at the code.

Seriously, whoever told you it's ok to declare fonts as 10px across major content area's needs a serious pimp-slap.

Under the hood, you start out with a tranny doctype, basically saying the site is in transition from 1997 to 1998; go modern coding techniques! Endless pointless CSS embeds when they don't even have media targets (because I'm so sure sending that screen layout to print or handheld is a good idea), static scripting inlined in the markup, presentational use of pointlessly cryptic classes, a relative lack of semantic markup, nonsensical heading orders (explaining the broken heading navigation for people like me), comment placements where they could actually be causing rendering errors in FF or IE -- it all adds up to 60k of markup for 2.3k of plaintext and four dozen content images... basically doing 24-25k of HTML's job -- though I'd seriously consider cutting the number of images on the page by around two-thirds so it actually loads TODAY instead of sometime this century.

I'm a bit shocked to see anyone giving this a thumbs up.

Searching worked fine for me. I like the site. Looks great and loaded quickly for me. I'd add something on home page about what the goal of the site is (lowest prices, handpicked hotels, etc.).
