Please review my forum

    Basically i have been developing a forum script for fun for quite a while now and i am wondering what you all think of how it looks at the moment?

    Very nice forum, I like it, I would add some icon's by the topic/forums are. And Maybe add something and use up that free blue space you have. Good job!

    What do you mean by "I would add some icon's by the topic/forums are" ? There are icons besides each forum and topic.

    Also which blue space are you talking about?

    Hi there,

    Good looking site...the only thing i could mention is...

    If i had stumbled upon this site upon my own...i would have no idea what its about..i would see that it's a forum but discussing what??? Where do you see your main traffic coming from?

    You should add:
    A logo or some images to the header.
    A short description of what the topic of the forum is

    Definitely u need some nice looking logo, plus next to the each forum board/section ( the blue square ) you should add some icon..

    You should customize the forum a bit you can do this by adding a professional logo
    and some graphics into the header and adding an icon next to the sub-forums.

    To let people if you read the original post "developing a forum script" that forum is what i have made from scratch and is available for download, that is the purpose of it :)

    Thank you for all the comments, i do need a better logo and forum icons yes but i suck at graphics!

    then just hire some1 to do all the logo and icons... also you need a lot to work on your SEO...

    If you read my original post and my one right above yours you wouldn't need to ask that.

    I beleive SEO is mostly a myth (argue as much as you want) i have seen even though most dynamic pages get displayed fine in google searches.

    And also, times are hard, artists are expensive ;)

    well i think you can find here on DP ppl willing to make graphics for you, for reasonable price. I know some ppl that got great headers/logos for just $100, and you can get some decent enough for much less....

    As of SEO ... lets say i won't argue you, but i would suggest you to read some SEO tutorials.... just a friendly tip :cool:

    I would never pay $100 for a logo, ever i know people who will do it for $10 and it will be amazing but as i said no monies right now.

    I am still developing it anyway so i don't want masses of traffic right now.

    And finally i added new forum icons which are much better and i added a welcome message for members not logged in so there is no confusion as to what the forum is for.
