i'm working on gettin the traffic now. right now no body knows about it, and google still hasnt even found it yet. but i'm a penn state student and right now i'm on spring break until next monday, i plan to send a mass email to every penn state student and hopefully traffic will pickup. I am also hoping to get an article in the paper at school as well.

as of now the only things i have done were create 2 facebook groups and send them to all of my friends, and also send an email to everyone on psu's wiki

other than that, i have high hopes for it eventually catching on later on down the road

another thing, i thought about seeding the threads .. do you guys think that is a good idea?

Looks like you have your ads positioned well and, interestingly, Google seems to have plenty of ad inventory related to Penn State. You may know from reading this forum that forums don't typically do very well with Adsense, due primarily to the fact that most visitors are repeat visitors who become "ad blind". They might click a few ads at first but then stop noticing the ads. Of course, in your case, your potential audience pool is limited to Penn States fans, students, alumni, and such, which is a fairly large number, but probably not enough to make serious money with Adsense. It should, however, provide enough revenue to make it worthwhile for you -- when you start getting some traffic.

Forum is okay at my end, however,I'd suggest you go with another template and update phpbb vision.

    I would suggest these:
    - remove the right side ad. It looks off-place.
    - Move the top ad (big one) to the right side of header. You may have to use a smaller one.
    - Add ad at the beginning of the first topic.
Your main purpose is a discussion board. Having ads everywhere saying "click me, click me" is not good in the long run.
If you like look at the forum on my sig, its a month old baby forum and I am making 3 digit from AdSense.
