Please review my first Wordpress theme

Good day.
I am new in coding and web design but I like it and for last week I code my first theme that I will give for free to my blog readers, but before I will publish it, I will need to know what peoples say about it: maybe it is terrible or maybe I need to fix or change something.

Corny, but clean and not bad for first expirience.

 

its too common and i can see this theme every day as i surf the net.

 

It actually looks pretty good.
However there are some things I would like you to think about:
1. It's pretty dull, it does not stand out and it's easily forgotten by users. Add some color.
2. The recent posts/tags is not that good. Using while links on a light-grey background will make it hard for your visitors.
(especially for those with bad eyes.)
3. Maybe have a hoover effect on the facebook, twitter and email buttons. So that they turn blue when mousing over them or something?

Thanks for your opinions: About social buttons, yeap I have that in mind too and I update it
And I also ad few Jquery effects. Now top menu looks pretty cool I think
Now I want to fix issue with links. Maybe someone can suggest in what color links in this theme will looks better?

 

I think the side bar is too wide. So it is hard to distinguish from primary and secondary content. I typically like to see 2/3 of the page for core content, or if there are two sidebars, 1/2.

Also some of the text on the side bar, is white with a shadow, making it almost impossible to read.

 

I am also new to coding and i am on my way creating a new wordpress theme. It's good for the first time you created.
