This is my first actual website. I'm creating it for a client who wants to be able to sell designer bags from the site. It's not finished yet, but when I'm done I'd like an automated selling system, I'm thinking about incorperating paypal. Any reviews, or suggestions would be highly appreciated. http://www.luckydogdenim.com -Thanks
I like your layout, color and design their fit for designer shop but I have several opinions : The picture size too big, it's heavy to load (I found the mall picture on the store section is 250K) and it's not friendly for the user, you should compress it to the smallest size without loosing the sharpness. I think it's would be better if the picture it's not show the mall only, but several picture ie. the mall, store, product etc, you can design as montage or make it as several picture. Because it use round corner on the content and menu, it would be nice looking if you also use round corner on the container, it must not all of the corner, 2 opposite top and botton corner should be enough ie. top right and left botom or top left and right bottom Is the picture on the top left the brand logo? If it the brand logo so don't change, but if it's not the brand logo I think the dog picture only should be enough
Yes, the picture in the top left corner is the company's logo. Do you really not like the color around the dog? I kind of like it cause it matches the girl below it. And eventually I want to have pictures of the actual product on the home page, but I haven't got pictures taken yet. What size should I make the image to?
It has great look and feel - but store is not working ? Have you considered using osc shopping cart - it would be easy to incorporate. Cheers GS
i totally agree with bnandika~ your site takes abit more time to load, try to make it pass some speed test site, make it under 1sec under dsl connection, use GIF pic's instead of other formats, try separating some features to load on other pages~ peace
I am sorry to say that if I were looking for a bag or a purse and get to your site, I would not buy. There is nothing on the site that entice me to even get inside...
I try compress your two pics in photoshop, here the result the menu.jpg with jpeg 60 quality, the size only 53.85K the menu_no_girl.png, I convert to jpeg 60 quality and the size only 48,98K I think in jpeg format with 60 quality, both pictures still good and sharp, but you can try by yourself what is the best jpeg quality for the pictures Hope this help
The graphics at the top "Home | Store | About Us | Contact" seem a little fuzzy, looks like they're .gifs
