    Hey Everyone,
I just started my website about a month ago. I am completely new to this whole thing and would appreciate any suggestions to making it better. I have some content up, which I am updating every week. My next step is to add images to the site and make it a little bit more colorful. I would appreciate any suggestions that anyone could give me.

    My site is:

Agree more images needed, but for someone completely new at this type of stuff this is an excellent design.

    Good luck
    Cheers

too much text!! Really, people aren't going to read all that - you should mix in some photos and other graphics to break it up a little bit.

The design is nice though. Maybe too simplistic, but nice and safe.

I agree, for someone who is new at this, you have done a nice job at putting this website together. One thing to keep in mind is web pages need to be designed for a quick read. For instance, you could place a summary with a link to the full story for each entry. Doing that would reduce the amount of text displayed on your main page.

One other thing is your Blogroll has six links to pictures, a link to a video game, and only one finance related link. If your website was about pictures those links would be fine. But, shouldn't you have a blogroll that links to, for example, stock market sites, realtors/mortgage information, etc., since the focus of your website is financial?

You've got a great start - keep at it! :)

Thanks everyone for your compliments and suggestions! I will work on reducing the amount of text and adding images. If there's anything else that you see, let me know and I can work on it.
