Your magazine style theme is looking very good. Navigation is also simple. But the image adjacent to the main header is spoiling the overall look. I would have changed its position. All in all, the blog looks great. Best of luck!

I think you should go with a light gray background. Lots of
people see a black background as not a trusted site. IMHO.

 

You think that's true not as trusted due to the dark color. Is grey that much better?

 

Well, over 90% of the top sites have a white or light backgound. I think that is for a reason.
