Hi DP Members, Please give me a review of my new blog site that I just created a while back. It's about an ebook store that should sell ebooks worth $1. For a start up, I only posted 6 ebooks for sale. Any comment from you will be of great help. Thanks everyone. Here's the blog site: Buy Ebooks Online
Thank you for your appreciation and the much needed feedback, Petro. Yes, I really have to work on its content. Can someone give me a tip on how to make a template for posting an ebook for sale? How about SEO? When will my blog be indexed in google?
I like your site. It's a good idea and what you have is a good start. I'd move the big square adsense ad unit down lower in on the page (if I used it at all) and try to blend it better with you content. I'd probably also skip the horizontal ad units in favor of an ad unit as part of each post. I'd also break the posts so that just a couple paragraph preview shows on the first page, that way you can don't have to scroll as much to see all the posts. Good luck!
Hi wildchild, thanks you so much and you like my site. I'm in favor in doing all your suggestions but how will I do that? I really don't have an idea. Is it possible even though I'm using only a free template from blogger?
Hi Webfrontier Biz, yes it looks like you can make some of the changes in blogger. From what I can tell, the big 300x250 large rectangle ad is an inline ad but I can't figure out how you got it there. There are a lot of adjustments that can be made to the inline ads and I'd either make it a smaller size, or move it someplace else. It looks like you got your link units at the top of the page to match a little bit better. There's not a lot of options on those and what you have right now looks good. To put ad units between your posts, click on the Monetize tab and then Customize/Add Ads and choose Display ads in my sidebar and posts. To change the size of the ads that show up between the posts, click on the Design Tab and then the edit option in the Blog Posts box. Scroll down to the Configure Inline Ads option and pick how you want it to look there. To break up your posts, you need to go Posting ->> Edit Posts. In the toolbar you'll see a button which looks like a torn paper, cursor shows "Insert jump break". (If you don't see the torn paper icon, you'll need to switch to the updated editor. To do this go to Settings > Basic, and look at the bottom of the page for the Updated Editor option). Wherever you want to set the break within your post click this button. A grey line will show you where the break divides the text. I hope that helps. Good luck!
I think the site could improve even more if more options were available without having to scroll down. Good luck.forums.digitalpoint.com
Hi wildchild, thank you once again for your wonderful tips. I did what you say about the "Insert Jump Break" and it worked! I'll try also your advice regarding the adsense placement. Hi adviesmanager.nl, thank you for your feedback. I'll see what I can do to improve the site as not to irritate the users as they have to scroll down to see all the contents of the page.
