I'm currently embarking on my new design company venture.

This is just a first draft copy of the template. Any critiquing would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to create a professional, yet clean and 'friendly' looking design.

Please let me know what you think about the design and anything you believe could be improved and changed.

Your design is clean and simple. If you use some attractive then it'll be more attractive as well.

Your design template looks very simple..you can use images also.. by adding image you can design your web site well looking...

 

Well it's a design website, so there will be plenty of images when it comes to launching the finished product. I'm also going to have a slideshow on the main page, with images, of recently updated areas of the site, for example: new templates added to the portfolio, new graphics added to the freebie section, etc.

What do you mean by 'smoothen'?

 

yes it is true
you should use smoothen the colours.

 

What does smoothen mean though?

 

Simple design - its good. may be, need to add bright colors.

 

I like the layout. The colors are a bit weak, looks more like pastels. Need a littlme more color boldness and I also agree about the font, it is difficult to read.

I like how the design flows together with the logo. I would try adding picture and some vivid colors to highlight things.
