good layout and typography.. but. i'm not impress with the slider on the left on.. it think it's just too big. try to somthing simple and elegant.. like on this site.

Overall, it is well-designed. However, i think the background color of the page should use darker color as the current scheme now doesn't stand out among ordinary blogs..
