and add more monetizing if you like.

In order to prevent "stickin-out-ness" I went from a 338X280 to 200X 200, everything else does stick out... Is it really better?

The blog already has 1287k alexa rating, and projected to come to 580k or so! I also noticed it is coming second on "dead count" search on google. Neverthless CTR is virtually non-existant...

 

That fixed the "stickin-out-ness" for me. Now the only thing that's stickin' out is the "comments" rss link at the bottom of the blog. Not that it bothers me that much.

Overall nice little blog.

I started a blog about bad news, www.DeadCount.blogspot.com
as of now its traffic rank for 1 month is 459 746 worldwide, rank in USA 110K and in India 130k. Its 1 month and 2 or 3 days old. CTR is terrible as well as profits from it i n general. I mean I know people who are interested in my niche might not be interested in buying stuff, but if there is traffic, where is my money? What am I doing wrong?>

what color would you suggest-- green, blue, something else-- and should my theme should influence the color?

 

They say "CONTENT IS KING" and everyone who says that is right! So keep on putting quality content out there, more content every day/week/month. After a while you will get better serp positioning. Never focus on the money; if you do a good job focusing on the content and quality of content and site the money will come in.
