Easy Fish Care I would be grateful for any constructive criticism you might have for this blog. I have been making a fairly good living creating and selling blogs but for some reason this blog has not sold. I'm sure with the help of your comments, it could (and will) be improved. The first thing that stroke me was that dark blue; a lighter/soft blue will make it more easy to read and pleasant for the eye.
The fish background is too busy, maybe fade it a bit to see how it works. Overall too much blue everywhere, mostly because it is a vibrant blue that jumps out at you and distracts from browsing the good content. I would tone down the blue to light blue header backgrounds and see how it looks then. Otherwise a good functional site with nice content and focus.
Here is my critic It may not sounds nicely but it would help - Your logo looking is looking good but not sharp as it should be. Improve on it. - As ankaP mentioned, please consider to use more lighter on blue color to make your site readily easier. - What Fishtank widget is all about? You have wasted a good spot on nothing. Please consider to put something that could make you money on that spot. Most of peoples who visited your site may not scroll to lower section to see what you are offering. Please use your space wisely. - At scroll image in "Featured Content". Please consider to make the size fit, not let them too much stretch or your site will lose credibility. Honestly, your site is look like a site in a year 2000. Done some improvement that peoples here suggested and your site would be much better. Good luck with your site.
its better that u don't use that background..and try some new colors...and the main frame viewing the pictures..its quite long try to maintain size...because pictures are stretched....Regards.
the site is great. only, the flash gallery above seems like you've stretch those images to fit in the frame. the aquarium may look very interesting if those fish are from cretaceous era or something, one will definitely be interested to look at what kind of fish is it - say a garfish. a visitor will definitely look for more details of that fish and may roam inside you site.. just an idea.
The site overall looks pretty good. Some suggestions... The logo could use a little reconstruction. The font is generic and doesn't seem to fit well in the logo. The triangles as well I would say pitch them. The background like most others said, is very busy. Lighten it up a bit so that you can notice the fish, but so it's not so distracting. The content and presentation looks very good. I personally would have thought the site would have sold better than it has. The subject of the site is very popular and fish in general are extremely common pets. Try fixing these things and see if you get different results. Also, how have you been pitching the site?
Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I now have someone who claims they want to buy it so I will leave it as is (unless they back out). However, I do appreciate all the comments and will take them to heart on my next project. You all have been very helpful.
I like your website. I think you did a great job. The only thing that I did not like totally was that "get widget" fishtank... somehow it reminds me of some websites I check with my 4 year old daughter... maybe too childish.
i like your blog.. for me, the color is too 'strong'.. reduce the opacity of the color, i think it will make more attractive..
Too strong blues. Between the content boxes, the color should be lighter, towards grey I think. More greens! I am not doing this hobby but my direct impression is, too little about the "vegetation". I think that has to be a very important part of a sophisticated aquarium design, so not just blue water and blue! Besides, I suppose there is "vegetation" with other colors than green too. There is quite strong too, of the blue complementary orange colors, maybe that circumstance could be smoothed out just a little with some orange and red colors that are not so strong. I really think that would do difference. (I should get paid for my common knowledge... ;-)
Nice web site. and nice articles. I like ur template. its nice. and, 1. could you change your Logo / Banner. Its not in today's tradition. use any web 2.0 type banner designes. 2. In your featured content, all images are not match with that image area resolution. please re size those images. then your blog will be looks nice. 3. Please ues justify alignment in your all text contents. that will give a professional look to ur web. 4. You r using a 3 column template. its a very good choice for adsense. put your adsense in the middle column. I mean, which one is near the categories and blog roll. just put that links in current adsense area, and put ur adsense in middle column. that is a best place to place ad sense ( recommended by adsense genius. ) Good Luck
