My blog has been open since the start of this month (Feb). Just wondering what you think of it? Do I provide good content? Is the layout good? Have I placed my ads well? Do you like the logo? By the way, if you do like the logo, I designed it and I'll happily make you a logo, web template or w/e you want for free if you review my blog. http://www.dreamwarestudios.blogspot.com [update] Blog is currently down. due to the fact that there's an extremely frustrating error message that everyone using blogger seems to be getting that stops you from doing anything. I deleted all my widgets to try and fix the bug (suggested by someone on a forum) but it failed. So until it's fixed I'm left with a handicapped blog >.<
Well to start off, 1. Blogspot.com isn't a good spot to start a blog, I'd suggest using wordpress on your own host or a shared hosting service 2. The design isn't eye catching or appealing, it doesn't catch my eye or attract my eye to any specific part of the website. 3. The logo is bad and I dont think it blends well. the reflective text is to strong and the colors are pretty random. 4. The rest of the graphic don't really blend well with the site, I'd suggest using a web 2.0 clean style maybe try vector or something. ~ Alex
Thanks for the feedback. I'll do some updating soon I've been told that blogspot is good, and I'm satisfied with its ease of use, templates etc. When you say eye catching what do you mean? I have white text with a contrasting black background, what could I actually add to make it "catch your eye"? I'll try to redesign the logo with different colours and reduce the strength of the reflection.. Perhaps bold text would be a good idea? The colours in the logo are blue and white, which follows the scheme of the actual website that the blog was designed for; http://www.dreamwarez.co.uk Any ideas on blending the logo into the background? Well by eye catching i mean its just for the most part black and that doesn't really separate what's what Light green, blue and black just dont go together, I'd suggest using a white background maybe with blue text.
