Hello everyone, Can you please review: www.seekopia.com. It's been live for a few weeks now. What do you think I should add to entice more visitors to sign up? I'm constantly adding more and more features so let me know if you have any ideas Marc
Not yet, no! I had added a few but they just cluttered the design - I would like to add though - Any suggestions?
i would suggest a box ad on the right in between featured and latest posts and maybe a vertical banner on the left.
The design looks good, and the idea behind the site is good too! The only thing I'm not sure of is the alignment of the labels on the right sidebar... any reason they're aligned to the right? And if there is a good reason, maybe you should consider aligning the title of that label widget to the right as well... Good luck with the new site!
i've been there. i am also a member there for more than a month. i have published two articles. one thing was that...users cant actually locate it when they try to view their own article. try to become a user for awhile and youll notice it..
Thanks for your comments! Enhu: thanks for your feedback - I will work on making it easily for members to find their own articles. Just for now however, you can always access your articles at http://username.seekopia.com (which is your own blog). So, if you want to see your 2 articles, simply visit your blog and they're there. iser77: I'm not quite sure which labels you're talking about - They might be showing differently to what I'm seeing (maybe different browser?). Are you talking about "featured post" and "latest posts" widgets? Thanks again Marc
I would disagree about adding ads on the home page just yet, I think you should have a good dedicated membership volume before you start advertising. Just my opinion.
I like the design and layout which was clean and perfect. The color schemes impressed me a lot and it was easy to navigate.
Thanks guys! littleprayerbox: I must agree with you. Unfortunately, the project is self-funded for now so any extra cash I can make from advertising will be extremely helpful!
Yeah, you're right - In fact, I have so many more ideas for homepage widgets which I have not added because of space! Unfortunately, I can't really remove anything because it will reduce the site's functionality
Thanks I have just added an XML sitemap too, and RSS feeds. This should hopefully start increasing my traffic.
