Hykra.com is the site It is currently being used as a blog/portfolio for past work (still being constantly added to, have a lot to upload) Just wondering on your thoughts
In your template(header) file (not settings), change your <title>hykra.com</title> to <title>Hykra - The masterful collection of a passionate writer</title>, it will help SEO
Thanks locomotion JesseE, I know, I'm not a designer though. I need to find some help. that's definitely on my priority list sub7, it WILL be used as a blog in the future. right now I am in the process of actively uploading past work. It's currently a portfolio for my writing work for the most part. That is why it appears disorganized. I plan on using it as a blog when I am finished uploading my portfolio. I should have pointed that out earlier, that is my fault
I like the picture across the top, although I think Hykra could be larger and "The Collection of a Passionate Writer" should be black instead of white. Also, the gray "posted in" boxes draw attention to them, whereas I think it would look better to have the titles of your entries more outstanding, if that makes sense. Other than that, I like it.
Very nice and sexy black look, its good looking but you can make rollover button as active button when you are in the individual pages.
trailtrekker, I've definitely been considering changing the color of the font. It's a bit hard to read right there. I do agree with you that the posted in boxes draw too much attention given how little meaning they really have. I'll take a look at that
under which text? Are you referring to the first paragraph of the actual articles? If so, those are within <div> tags due to the img, and I'm not sure how to fix those
Alright, I did a lot of touching up and fixed most of the things that have been recommended. Any further thoughts?
looks clean and easy to navigate, since it's a blog focused on text, it's pretty easy to read it, colors are ok. so i can say good work
It's just for looks. Doesn't really "do" anything. But it clearly distinguishes the subtitle in a unique way
The template looks ok, but the header text, "The Collection of a Passionate Writer" doesn't really reflect the content. I was expecting essay's or short stories. You may want to specify the niche you are writing about. Also, the posts on the home page cut off, and do not have a "read full article" link. The visitor has to click on the title, which isn't intuitive for everyone.
