Looks pretty good so far. I would add a comment section for your subscribers. Also, why not use Wordpress for your blog? You can register your own domain name and make a really nice blog. You will never get indexed with subdomain.blogspot.com. Make YOUR site. I like the deal you have as your topic today as well, with great content like that, your own domain, and an attractive Wordpress site... you will be on your way!
