Friendz please review my blog www.megawebster.com for placement of adsense ad. I am not that good @ ad placement. The blog is new and need improvement. So please ad your views.
Placement doesn't really matter in this case. You won't make any money from Adsense with a blog like this...
Placement is good but your site's width and font size needs to be fixed. Color is so distracting too.. and I don't consider it a niche blog... "mega webster" is not a good keyword. Example of a niche blog with good and clean placement. http://howtogetpregnantinfo.net = "how to get pregnant" is the targeted keyword for niche.
Blogs don't make money.. very few of them anyway... You need a proper website with pages and pages and pages of good quality, unique to you, interesting and sought after information! Then when you have that you need to build ten more.. then ten more again... then you need to get at least 2000 visitors a day to them all.... This takes years not days my friend...
Why don't you write about online games, or things that you like and promote it to others? Good niche blogs earn a lot. Like neopets fanatics earns $50 or more/day
Many of us already have suggested you about many important topics. Try to follow them. Beside this visit this Adsense support page for potential place for ads placement. Where should I place Google ads on my pages? Hope it will help you.
The dark background of your blog makes reading difficult and if possible try to add a 336 x 280 or 300 x 250 ad in the body of the content and merge the ad with the contents. Refreshing contents as often as possible along with continuous link building will help increase the traffic and earnings.
I thought ugly websites will make more money in Adsense, because visitors can't keep their fingers from clicking the ads just to get out from the site. At least, that's what I've heard from the so-called gurus here.
I think you got it right that contents for an adsense website shouldn't be that interesting because the whole point is that people would want to move on and hopefully, exit out of your site via adsense ads. Therefore, information you provide in the website should not be totally complete and only provides partial of the actual information they seek. For ad placements, I find that having ads right under the title works well. Also, the links on those ads should stand out from the other text. As for colours, you can't go wrong with grey text on white with blue links.
i think you must make a thread review at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23 Dp members discuss about review some website there
You need to change the layout completely, blend your ads into content, and create a more visually appealing site.
