Hi! I am pretty new to web design and things like user experience, and this is the first real site I have made. I was wonder if you guys can give me some feedback on my site. Any response or criticize is welcome. My site: http://www.animefront.com/ A little about my site. Anime Front is an anime streaming site that has the feature similar to NicoNico Douga, which is that we allow users to post scrolling comments while they watch anime, and other users will be able to see that comment in the video. You can try it out and see. We also allow registered users to submit their own video. This site is still pretty new and not many people is on it yet, but regardless I had a lot of fun making this site.
Keyalt, the design looks good, nice gallery layout. But what's the purpose of the site? Are these videos? Cartoons? Graphics? Are they for sale? Free? Do you accept submissions? Find them yourself? Or did you create all these animes? I, personally, couldn't tell anything at all about the site just by clicking on your link other than seeing some nice graphics.
Because I have an ad blocker, I didn't see that, but I would agree that it's not a good thing. I, personally, hate pop up ads. Especially double ones.
It may give more initial income to the site owner, but if it drives customers away and ruins the chance for those sales, how much money is it really making for the site owner? Just sayin'...
Thanks for all the replies. Really appreciate it. I will try to make my site's purpose clearer, thanks for the tip. As for the pop-up ads, I actually do not intend to use them... I am using CPMfun and CPMstar and I should only have banner ads... this is weird. I will have to contact them, the thing is I myself do not see any pop-ups. I hate pop-up ads myself and would never impose them on my users. Thank you for the feedbacks ^_^
Its good design and layout for anime niche. Keep to update regularly so that you can optimize your site useful for other.
Thanks for your kind words. I have made some changes to my site making the site purpose more clearer. I have also found the ads that was causing the unintentional pop-ups and removed them. Turns out they were ads from CPMfun. If anyone still sees pop-up ads please let me know. And any other comments and review are all welcome. Thank you~
