Hi mobixone... Why don't you show us the site URL... we can't analyze your ads placement when we can see it. So, for better suggestion, I suggest you to show you site URL. Good luck.
It's simply that there isn't enough competition between advertisers in the political humor topics, hence the tiny earnigns per click. As for the CTR it can be related to the same thing, too few ads meaning other ads displayed are not related to the subject at hand, and then you may also have a bad ad placement, but that would only add to the problem, not explain it on its own. Lastly adsense doesn't allow you to put exact figures/stats like you did, I know it's better to talk about it, but maybe that's exactly what they're trying to avoid by not allowing it. So you should edit your post if you want to comply with their rules.
