hi everybody.. i am just asking your 2 minutes to write your thoughts about my ad placement... i'm getting around 250 unique daily but my CTR is too low... have you got any idea that how can i increase CTR? my address is : http://www.roberdo.com thanks for your interest...
I think your ad placement is fine. I think your site suffers from being too interesting (great photos) and fulfilling to your vistors for them to be attracted to the ads. The ideal page for ads is one that doesn't quite fulfill visitors' needs or curiosity, and makes them want a little more, which makes them click on related ads. Visitors have to have a reason to click on ads.
Looks fine but can try to add 468X60 format ad above the "basic instinct 2…" title, perhaps it can help your CTR. Good luck
To improve your ctr you should really drop the skyscraper and include the ads in the content. For example a large rectangle directly after your first post might work very well.
i changed the ad placement as you recommend... have you got any other comments about the colors of the ad?
Well, finding a good color scheme for the ads is mostly a trial and error thing. For your site my first try would be to change the ad bg to #FAFAFA (your sites bg) and make the ad's link colors rotating in red, yellow and blue (the color of the little lamps between your posts).
Your ads are not related to website content. They are all about blogs, hosting, etc. I think that you should change that, because it hurts your CTR quite much.
thats the mantra these days I am following! your site needs to create a need for users to click on ads in an attempt to get what they are looking for.
i know that problem but i couldn't find a way to get rid of them... do you know a way or do you recommend me a way to have relevant ads instead of the current ones?
I disagree with everyone, without great content, you get no visitors, with no visitors no clicks are gonna be generated reguardless.. The key to succsess is just keep on building up your traffic, and most definatly ad thos blog ads to compeitive filter
@dorm eyw @djp i have filtered some ads by using the competitive filter.. let's look what ll happen..
Right, but still you should optimize your ads before the visitors come, so you're ready to make money off them when they arrive
I think adding more content and waiting for some time should help you solve this problem. At least that helped to me.
