Have you tried a simple ad placement such as 3 blocks of 300x250 side by side at the top of your forum? That way if people want to click they can, if not, then they can read the forum.
Also I would advise to show ads only for guest, registered users should not see any ads, or only one in the first post just like you have now. be nice to your forum posters, they are the ones who create the content that you'll monetize.

 

So you mean I should try 3 x 300x250 below navbar?

Also, try to change the text ad color of the links to orange.

 

Isn't it orange? I tried different orange/brown colors and thats the only one who came close to my theme color.
