Hello DP memebers, please review my new websites. Have a look tell me what you think?

very good work but you don't use any background.

 

I want my websites to be clean, simple and easy to load... Thats the reason for the background.

 

I think you should make the text more black in the site articleking.net

For articleking: design is great, very simple and clean. Text should be more visible though and I think having two adsense ads that looks the same on both sides is not good. I suggest you remove one whichever earns a lower amount and also to rearrange the sidebar. Make it more "balanced".

For vitaminz: First up is change your header/banner. I think its showing the default theme's one. And like I said for articleking, 2 same adsense ads on almost the same location makes no sense and makes the site looks spammy instead.

 

For articleking i will wait 2-3 weeks to see wich one of AdSense bars is more profitable. For VitaminZ I am working on the logo! PhotoShop is not my pasion

 

that's a great idea, remove the less profitable one. for the logo, maybe you can hire someone here for a professional looking one if you dont want to do it. hope i helped!

 

It looks pretty good. On article king the banner on the left sort've degrades the entire site with the bad font.

I really like the color scheme, the ads I am not so sure about, but I also don't really know how to improve it tbh..
About the layout, it might work better like ezine layout , having the main categories on top (without all the subcategories) and the recent articles (perhaps with an excerpt with the amount of hits/views) below that. Also you have both recent articles and recent posts, seems a bit redundant imo!

For Vitaminz : Do some SEO for this blog. Change your header title. Other wise everything is just great.

Hey there, this reply is with respect to the vitamins site. I think the color scheme does not match the topic, you're promoting health and the colors should be brighter. Also, what about the header and the advertisement? it has nothing to do with the blog. The setup is good though, and the articles very thorough.

I took a look at your second site.

The right hand column is much shorter and things like that always disturb me because I like symmetry.

I never use blogroll myself as I don't want to have people click away from my site.
