What do you mean by the colors are mixed up? Any suggestions for the news block? I think two column up top, separated by the top reviews then a 3 column down below allows it to be read easily, but there aren't too many pictures which can be a turn off. You think less new articles on the front page?

I agree about empty space, I am just getting around to finding suitable content to fill it with, maybe more movie stats.

The logo will definitely be changed, just have to actually create one

Yeah, it is hosted at Godaddy.. They saw that Google Ads slows it down.. that is not quite the answer. Once traffic picks up I think we'll move to another host.

The website is on a wide template, 1200 px. The standard nowadays is 1024 I believe, but I've combed through my google stats and the majority of people are using 1280+ Smaller than 1200 and the website begins to look smooshed, maybe something I might have to look into if the traffic picks up with smaller resolutions.

First off, the site looks really good - kudos!

Like a few others have said, the sidebars don't look great with the dark gray - they don't look bad, but at least the buttons in the genres box and the background in the "weekend box office for [date]" would look better white (or another color).

Just another thought, if you happen to be an itunes affiliate, you could add itunes movie links alongside the amazon ones.

 

Oh, ok... now I see what you are saying about the buttons.. the are not destinct enough from the background. What if I made the sidebars white.. then the buttons another color to make them more identifiable... hmm.. I liked how the grey made people focus attention to the middle, although usually negative space does the opposite of that. I'll have to try it out.

Itunes is a good idea. I'll have to see about that setting that up. I don't think affiliate sales will be much of anything though, but they are there in case people want to purchase the stuff.

Has anyone that's reviewed the website stuck around or found one of the movie reviews helpful to them? There are a mixture of hollywood and indepenedent movies on there, some great watched if people have 2hrs to sit down and relax.

Top menu, Sub sub popup menu has small left padding = 1px
