Please review LoanNetwork.com

I have a good amount of quality back links and try to update the site about once per week. I have recently seen some of my keywords begin to drop, any chance this may be related to an agressive link buy strategy?

Also, I do fairly well in Google for my main keywords, example (Compare Mortgage Quotes)...but I am way back in yahoo and dont appear to be indexed in Ask.com, which seems strange. I would guess I have a pr of 5 or 6 after the recent update, but have not verified this.

    Any insight is appreciated

    Thanks

Not sure about the SEO but from a design perspective I would change that ghastly green for another colour, one that works with the red.

Yes, i agree with fotoviva, the colour is really disturbing.
I think you should shorten the meta title, keyword, and description tags on every page. Placing only the most relevant keypwords/keyphrases (1-3 depanding on the number of competitor site), will increase their relative importance. I see that you design the site structure with divs, which are really effective. I suggest you to place the javascript code into external js. file, and you should use headings. They are really very important tags.

Plus you should validate the code, because actually it contains errors.

    Good luck to you!

check how the layout of your columns is out of whack in FireFox.

Your state links in the footer all point to the same couple pages except Arizona and California. They should all be pointing to a state specific page, I assume your working on those and adding them as you can.

the link to your home page should link to "/" not "/index.html"

I get 2 template colors. one for http://www.loannetwork.com (green) and http://loannetwork.com (red)

a 301 redirect should point these all to the www.

You have 40k back links. Why only PR1??? strange.

<h> tags in wrong place. You got <h1> surrounding <title>, <h2> surrounding <meta description>, etc.....

h tags signify headings within your body text.

the title of the page content at top of page in big bold red letters that says this: "Compare mortgage rates from top national lenders, with up to 4 custom mortgage quotes" should be in <h1> tags.

in code where you have this:

<p align="center" style="line-height:200%;"><b><font color="#990000"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Compare mortgage rates from top national lenders, with up to 4 custom mortgage quotes</span></font></b></p>

    could be

<h1>Compare mortgage rates from top national lenders, with up to 4 custom mortgage quotes</h1>

use css to define fonts, colors, and sizes of h1 text

Also your category headings for each text section on home page like, Testimonials, How to save on financing, Mortgage Refinance Examples, etc.... Should be <h2>

The cream works better than the green, but the whole page looks disjointed and the graphic header does not provide enough impact. Sorry to keep being negative but I call it constructive criticsm!

    Thanks for the feedback.

I am still working on some changes and may explain why the colors are different.

I have about 6 or 7 states completed and I am working on the others...

I assume during the next pr update I should move to a 5 or 6, but this has not been my major focus.

I am somewhat satisfied with the site layout/look as I need to blend functionality and content and I have a pretty decent conversion to traffic range.

My only lingering question would be why am I doing well with Google, but yahoo and especially ask.com dont seem to have me ranked as well, any insight with this is appreciated.

I dont have firefox, but can review this with my web developer

    Thanks Again!
