[PLEASE REVIEW] King of the Bill - An Advertising Extravaganza!

I had posted this in Link Sales as well, but I figured I'd post it here and get some replies more related to the site and idea itself. Thanks in advance for looking!

The site up for review is KingOfTheBill.com.

The concept behind the site is easy enough. Advertisers buy ads on the site, and the price per ad goes up $1 each time one is sold. The first ad was $1.

The entire site is automated, and updates itself on the fly as people do different things on it, i.e. buy a spot, comment on the blog, etc. The site even ranks websites that send traffic to it without having to have people manually add their website. It's all 100% automated.

I've fully integrated a WordPress blog into the site as well. It's my first time ever using WordPress so feel free to offer any pointers or suggestions if you see anything that I could make better.

Lastly, and another one of the unique features of the site is the referrals page. Any website that links to my site is automatically added to the top of this list each time somebody follows a link from their site to KOTB. I have limited this to the top 25 at any given time.

I am interested in getting feedback on the look and feel of the site. Is it easy to understand? Does it draw you in or turn you away?

Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

colors are bit dark, i would like to see light colors, and use of better combination and shades.
this is purely my personal opinion, i would like to see something simple and soothing to eyes.

rest design is alrite nothing bad with it, just could be made better with use of appropriate colors.

What do you mean by the colors being too dark? Most of the site is white, light gray, and yellow? :)

What colors would you replace to make it better?

use shades of one particular color,
like shades of either blue, brown, indigo

dark in the sense it hits eyes, should look more smooth when seen.

I think you are overusing the bold in the table. It make the date hard to read and the table looks very heavy.
