Please review Job Finder Site

A friend of mine has asked me to manage this site USA job finder and I made some changes to the themes. Retrieved directly using webservice and no database at all, I think the page loading is quite slow for the first time. What do you think about this site? Please suggest and critic us.. Thanks in advance

 

I do not like the background color you should consider changing the background color
and adding more colors to the theme of the site.

Site looks ok, but the blue background stands out too much.

You need to tone down the color it is hard on th eyes.

Thanks for all replies. I'm working on the background and add more ads space. I would like also to know about the performance from you. I've received complains from friends of mine that the page loading is really slow but here in my place, it's not. Thanks in advance and I really appreciate your comments.

You should remove any advertisements off your site. If I am a job finder, I wouldn't want to go to a website full of advs. Incoporate them only in the future.

 

Nice site with the USA economy going down the drain there will be a large number of people looking for jobs

 

For site design:

I suggest you'd had a bigger logo, so visitors will know where they are.

For functionality:

Search results explode to the screen. Try to have results to the same layout as your firstpage.

Also paging the resultset is something needed. If you have over 100 results, much easier to view when there are 10 to 20 jobs per page.


You have a good base to build a nice site.

@crisschoco : Thank you for your comment. This is my friend's site and he asked me to have ads on it. That will be one of my suggestion to him. Anyway, if you try the rss form, you will then have no ads on it.

- I suggest you'd had a bigger logo. : I think it's big enough here. but that will be my consideration.
- Search results explode to the screen. Also paging the resultset is something needed : I think I already have pagination to the page. 15 result per page and it's on the same layout like the first page (main page).

Too many ads but a nice colour scheme and design.

 

It is better when you have a bigger logo...
but it is a great site men... ehehehehehehe
