In the navigation bar, I don't like the orange letters on white background. It's not easy to read. Maybe pick a different background than white. Also, it's not exactly clear what the site is about. Also, I clicked on "Site Announcements", but got kicked back to "Home", because no content existed yet.
maybe have visible areas defined around the send message box...etc once you get a killer header going the site will rock bro! good luck! anychance you can let me know what you think about my surf site: your local surf?
