Please review, is there hope?

I have worked really hard on my website, spent a lot of money and time developing it and still havent seen anything come back even though the site is ranking pretty high for its main keywords. please let me know what you guys think and what i can do to improve earning and traffic, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. The site is really great and it really seems that you have worked alot on it.
About the traffic,you can pay for your visits (google or facebook - its my personal oppinion),or to exchange links with other bigger sites(wich is better and probably free). You can make a thread for link exchange and I belive there will be many users who will like to excahnge with you.

At the begining everything is hard and it will remain hard until you build your ad or backlink network.

Also have you submited your site to all search engines? (I guess the answer is "yes",but I have to ask)

Yes I have submitted my site to all the search engines it is well indexed in all the main search engines with all pages indexed in google as well, i am getting about 100 UV a day all organic do you people think that the site should be monetized another way other than amazon and adsense.

 

I think your main image header is quite a bit larger than it should be. I have a relatively small laptop screen and between that, the google search bar and your adsense ads, your content isn't even viewable on page load. Do you know what your average visitor length is? I would think that a lot of people would see the amount of advertising you have and close the window almost immediately.

I think I counted 5 or 6 different sets of adsense ads, which to me, is way too much. Two well-placed ads (perhaps one in the middle of your content, separating paragraphs?) would do just as well and would allow your content to engage your visitors better. Try decreasing the spacing and getting your content "above the fold." Hopefully that will help at least a little.

Also, a minor point, but the background seems a little loud to me. Maybe tone down the paw prints...the site seems busy enough without all that color. Good luck to you, man!

c-lo, Thanks for the advice, Average visitor stays 1:20 secs, CTR is also good, its the traffic that is the problem, all pages are indexed but the ranking of individual pages is going up slowly, I will reduce the advertisement and look into making the changes you recommended, Thanks again.

No problem, man. Good to hear regarding the visitor length and CTR. Most people quickly identify Adsense ads nowadays but hopefully putting them in the middle of your content will get more eyes (and clicks) for you. If ya get a chance, report back on how it works out for ya.

You're monetizing through adsense and amazon which is OK but if I had your site I would make my own products and feature them on the site. All it takes is to find an expert on the chosen topic and record a 40 minute interview with them. Research all the most popular questions for that topic beforehand and ask each one in turn. You can then sell it as an MP3 download (with a PDF Transcript as a bonus) and simply use a buy now PayPal button.

You need to balance content with ads

Right now you are to concerned with clicks versus quality time.

remove some ads, make it appear like the ads are there to support the website NOT you want to bombard people with ads to leave.

 

I think your site is great! Maybe you are adjusting your site, there are some display errors on firefox.

you might want to think about adding in dog heath or illnesses rather than just diseases

 

very nice, however i did not like the big white space after the first article under the logo, perhaps fill it with a picture, graphic or content

 

Both your site and your articles are good. You can start promoting your site using facebook and twitter for more traffic.
