Hi all, After compleating the building of the site which is what I thought would be the hard part, I'm finding that getting sign ups is a lot harder than I thought. Would like to ask experienced people what would they change in order to get sign ups. I have a lot of plans for the future with this site like list site and banner exchange site being added to the site and incorperated all into one sign up and login, scrolling add box for members only to place special deals for other members, pod cast with contest in podcast, and a whole list of things. I don't have experience getting signups, but as a user, I think it would help if you had a banner image and a tag line to very briefly explain what your site is about. also I like the clean look of the site but it might add something if you use some other colors besides gray.
i'm new to the website business myself only been doing it a year i'm finding out what workes best with any signup offer is to mabey offer a free trial period. thats what i'm doing to my sight. people love free stuff do like 14 days or 30 days free trial offer that should get the signups.
i think you have to clear your website idea for people , i really did not get till now , perhaps you can change the color a little to make attractive ...
First thing I would do is change the color then give something a way of value to get people to sign up.
I would add some more attractive colors. I think that the shoutbox and the left panel is taking a lot of space. You have 2 login forms and the menu can be arranged horizontally.
