I think it's a nice simple design, I like the colors. Here are few suggestions: 1) Move 'What is Guard Tunnel?' to the top of the page. That is more interesting for the visitors to read instead of Donate button 2) Logo Image is too large, maybe it'll be better with less font size 3) Change 'Copyright © 2009' with 'Copyright © 2009 - 2010' I hope it'll help. good luck
The design is built so that I can either have the two paragraphs, OR the proxy form. My users prefer the form above (since that is why they are there), so I put it there. The Donation box is part of the header, I can't do much with it without changing everything. Thanks, I'll consider changing it. Oops! Haha, changed.
Very interesting layout, but i agree that you should move the what-is-this to not exactly the top but at least under the banner. You could also rework you banner to include something like FREE WEB PROXY SERVICE! (just an example). From a drop in perspective its prob gona take users awhile to find out what exactly this is (because i'm willing to bet most users don't need their tunnels guarded . Besides that really good lookin site.
Actually, most of my users won't stumble upon my site without knowing what it is Proxies are very popular, and almost all of my traffic (based on my stats) is coming to my site on purpose either from a proxy-related keyword on google like "unblock myspace" or a proxy-related website.
Ok well in that case yeah your fine . Sorry, I'm a designer lol, both Photoshop and HTML, so whenever I look at a page I always try to think from the perspective of the person who has no idea what the site is. With targeted traffic though prob not such a big deal...but if it was me I'd put it near the top and make a slightly bigger deal out of it, but again thats just me
your site design is very good and the palcement of ads is very good u will get a high ctr if u place a leaderboard ad at the bottom and in ads change the website link colour to black
Why would I change the link color to the same as the text? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of a link if nobody can see it? And putting ads in the footer has an extremely low CTR and does nothing buy increase page load times.
