Giftster is a gift registry for all stores for all occasions. I just added in the ability to automatically grab product information for popular on-line stores such as Amazon.com and Newegg.com

Just put in the URL for the product and click "Product Look Up" and you'll get the name, price, description if available, and product images if available.

If the store you want the gift for isn't supported you can enter in the information manually and upload an image (optional) so people know exactly what you want.

You can create multiple lists and selectively allow friends to view them. The default list can be viewed by all your friends.

Let me know what you think and if there are any stores I should add for automatic product lookup.

Just FYI, I tried BestBuy.com but they display a generic page to bots when trying to grab product information. So I'm going to go ahead and not support them.

Looks like a plain old login page to me. I'd invest in a nice website design if you want people to join your site. And you should explain what it is on the site itself.

You'll have to create an account to actually see any of the functionality.

Well if you want people to actually join, I would design a site around it without forcing them to make an account.

It's designed to work well within Facebook. I don't require using it through Facebook since a lot of people (especially parents) don't use FB.

I came up with the site because my family kept passing around their gift lists and who bought who what through e-mail.

I should probably put together some help pages but I prefer the "do one thing, do it well" theme for sub sites for DawnoftheGeeks.com so I don't plan on expanding the functionality of the site outside its core function of being a gift registry.
