    Hey,

http://www.gazup.com has just been opened to the public. Gazup.com is a free file mirroring website with social features. Simply put upload your file and Gazup! will upload it to multiple file hosts such as RapidShare, MegaUpload, FileFactory, NetLoadIn, Easy-Share, zShare and other popular hosts.

The site is unique in terms of features, including automatic screenshots for video uploads.

Try the site out for yourself to see how it works, also give us feedback :)

    Thanks

That looks like you've put a lot of work into it. Very nice. Are you planning on selling it?

No plans on a sale, especially since we've just opened.

Fantastic idea, beautiful clean and easy to navigate design, and a great domain name to boot. You might do very well for yourself with that one :) Nice job!

Edit: Tell you what, I'd be interested in throwing a little traffic your way. Send me on a PM with a 728x90 advert, and I'll sort you out with a quick banner campaign on my site for a day or so. Should see a few hundred visitors go your way.

Thanks for your kind words. For those of you who are just reviewing the design, I would also appreciate it if you tested the main function of the site (uploading) as this is what sets us apart. Simply download this video: http://gazup.com/sample/sample.flv (right click save target) and then upload it to Gazup. We have noticed a slight bug with the video screenshot refresh but other than that it should work fine.

Eoin I will pm you shortly.

Gazup is a good site offering an useful service. However, regarding the rewards, the site is not completely honest with its affiliates.

I know about people who still waiting for payment from March. And I'm not talking about $10 or $15. Gazup owes about $200 to a guy.

The May rewards which should be paid on June 25 was not paid yet. This month, because of the problem with the Iran hacker, the site is not counting the points. According to them the rewards is disabled while they make some changes. However, it is disabled for too much time and I think they are keeping like that to not count any point and don't have to pay much (if they pay).

Not to mention that they were cheating before been hacked. They were not giving points the way they said it would be when they implemented the tier.

Also, they claim to have a function called re-up files which would let the user to re upload a file if it was deleted on any of the mirrors. However it is not possible as Gazup does not store the files on their servers. They say that on their own site:

Now the Gazup forum is not working, so I don't have how to expose those issues to the Gazup users.

Again, it is a great site and does the basic service (mirror files) very well, better than other mirror sites. But the rewards system makes the site looks really bad.

Sorry if this forum is not to talk about this kind of issue, but I thought someone should bring it on.

If you are a Gazup member and wanna understand how they were cheating, just PM.

    Cheers!
