Please review Flacy.com :)

I just created a new design for www.flacy.com
Please review the current design. Ignore the 404 errors on certain pages.. the website is still under construction. Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve the design? Thanks

 

Looks very nice, I like it

 

The top blue part, the conversation bubble should have the flancy in the middle rather then the top left part..
Basically, center it.

 

Hi buddy. This website is nice. But a lot of header is left aside. may be for advertisements. But fill it until they appear.

About the header.. I have all resolutions on one stylesheet.. how can I fill it up without messing it up for 800x600 and lower resolutions?

 

also u can keep that bubble bit smaller, current size looks little big.

bubble still not updated, hehe =). I agree with forumrating...

1. The bubble could be a bit smaller... But then it might look a bit too much like the Skype logo.

2. Also, if a bubble is your logo what is the black grid thing with one blue square doing as your favicon?

3. Have titles on each page reflecting the content.. at the moment it's Flacy! on all of them .

The blue square thing is the favicon of my host.. haven't updated it yet but glad you noticed it or I would have forgotten changing it.. would a tiny blue bubble make a good favicon? I'm also thinking of using this layout on a different site of mine instead of Flacy because I get the feeling it looks a little too neat for its content (myspace, hi5, forum and wordpress layouts)..

Hmmm, good question re the bubble favicon... I guess normally sites have a tiny version of their logo as a favicon, but with the size of the favicon you'll have some fun portraying a bubble in there =).

What dimensions would you recommend for the logo?

 

Not more than 160px height

it'll better looking if change your hover menu to button ( silver gray or duotone black ) beside only change the color text to red

Is it a good idea to use this layout on a daughter site too? Right now Flacy is the daughter site of Skeedio and they share the same design.. should I give them seperate designs?

 

I think the same kind of design would be ok but it might be a nice idea to change the blue to another colour for the daughter site

 

Good point. I was thinking about the same pink as the link hover.. maybe a different header too.

 

Yeah took it offline.. I have the same layout on www.sparkly.tv now.
Decided that name was better for the content..

 

Sorry that I bump this thread but I'd like to know everybody's opinion on the new index image: www.skeedio.com (no longer flacy). The image works fine on my computer but I'd like to know if others experience the same. Thanks.
