I just finished putting together a new directory using phpLD 3.06. I'd appreciate any critiques about it's design, layout, and functionality. Please let me know if anything is broken, out of place, needs better explaining, etc. Some highlights: - Main template alternates between blue and pink depending on the date. - The picture in the upper right hand corner is selected randomly from a directory of images. - The submit page only shows fields available to the link type (eg, the reciprocal link field is only shown if the reciprocal link radio button is selected.) - Links are displayed in the order: Featured, Standard and Reciprocal, then Free. - Only Featured, Standard, and Reciprocal links get a thumbnail and a description. - Only Featured links get the details page - Featured links get another description field (the Featured Description) with a 5000 character limit. - The Featured Discription field accepts a modified form of BBCode to allow users to format their Featured Description. - Probably some other features I am forgetting about...
wow I think you made great work, I tried myself to install this scrip on a site and gave up on the script and domain. I think your site looks very nice. I'm using Firefox, I went a number of subcategories down and when I tried to come back to the index page, the Home link was slightly covered with the location I was at the moment, perhaps you can put it up a little notch? Very nice anyway. Paul
