    Hey,
I've tried making this site user friendly and web 2.0.
The way i see it, it is more of a web tool than a website.
Reviews are much appreciated on usability and anything else...

    http://www.drinkmixguide.com

    Thanks

The top search // I really like that search - nice and big and one of the best that I've seen that size! I like that you are able to search your database with a few keywords ...... I was actually trying to search for some PHP script that can do that - is it hard to do?

The Comment Box // I didn't like the comment feature and I think you are right in your assessment above that this is more of a webtool than a website, blog or community .. When I search for e.g. Seabreeze .. not only is that "Comment on drink:" look out of place (and too facebook'ish) .. I think it detracts from the site.

The Search Ingredients Section // The red is really hard to read and when I searched for anything -e.g cinnamon - I think that the far right column should be the same as the others - white background black text

The Top Categories // Right now, there are too many categories that you have to add "More" link. I would either go 26 categories - one for each letter of the alphabet - or minimize that into alcoholic, non-alcoholic ... (plus a few non drink-recipe related (contact, bookmark, etc) or by shotglass, punchbowl, cocktail glass, etc.

Tips to monetize? // make it hard to print-screen with more pictures - then offer free dowload of recipe and offer to buy some general drink recipe book or something with all the recipes // or be able to sell ingredients of drinks like drink mix, and non-alcohol or non-liquid stuff // maybe some type of statue ornament for people's bars like that baby pointing and rye shooting out of his midsection there (college humour type of knickknacks)

The layout and design looks old. Try to decrease the size of the search field, it will be better..
